The proposed building was to replace an earthquake damaged building for the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce in the Christchurch CBD. The building is well functioning and practical with a solid sophisticated external appearance using a mix of textured concrete panels, stained cedar and aluminium louvres providing great sun protection to the internal spaces of the building. The building is a very symmetrical building with maximum glazing to the street.
