The proposal is a modern styled two story home on a very tight long and narrow section in Sumner. The road is on the North boundary and the site slopes away from the road. The home has four bedrooms with open plan living and seamless indoor / outdoor flow. Although on a narrow site, the home feels very spacious and light both inside and out due to the courtyard style layout. The house is broken up into three separate pods that are tied together with glazed links. There is a very simple material palate consisting of random width vertical cedar, concrete finished Rockcote Integra Panel and black metal.
