The brief was to design a modern high-end home that maximized the use of the small 469m² urban site which overlooks a popular park to the North and has distant views of the Port Hills to the South. The house is spread over three floors, with a four-car Garage and Entry on the Ground Floor and four Bedrooms, three Bathrooms, an Office and open plan Living over the First and Second floors.
The house was designed to look solid and robust as well as being low maintenance, with claddings such as Cerano finished Rockcote Integra panel, black standing seam metal and feature contrasting exterior tiles. An angled roof with a custom twisted black metal soffit creates a subtle feature while also providing sun protection to the living room sliding doors. On the third floor, angled metal boxes frame the full height sliding windows encapsulating the stunning views beyond.
